Prof. Magdalena Titirici’s Research Visit to Australia

Prof. Magdalena Titirici recently spent two and a half weeks in Australia, taking part in a series of conferences, academic visits, and collaborative exchanges across Sydney and Melbourne.

The trip began in Sydney at ISE, where she co-organised the symposium “Understanding Reaction Mechanisms and Degradation of Electrocatalysts for Power-to-X” together with Paolo Bollella, Fengwang Li, and Yu Katayama. The symposium brought together an outstanding group of speakers and generated lively discussions around electrocatalysis, reaction mechanisms, and catalyst degradation.

While in Sydney, Prof. Titirici also visited UNSW and delivered a talk at the University of Sydney. The visit then continued to Melbourne, including a seminar at Deakin University and discussions on polyanion materials for sodium-ion batteries.

The trip also provided valuable opportunities to reconnect with collaborators, former group members, and long-standing friends. These exchanges were a wonderful reminder of the importance of international collaboration, scientific discussion, and lasting professional relationships.

A memorable visit filled with inspiring science, new ideas, and many opportunities for future collaboration.
